Four US Service Members Killed in Weekend Iranian Strikes – Who Were They?

Since the ceasefire between the US and Iran collapsed, weekend attacks have left four American troops dead. That brings the death toll in the Middle East to at least 18 since late February, with roughly 500 wounded, according to Pentagon figures. Sgt. Angel Rampersad, 28, of New York, was killed in action at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan on July 17. Pfc. Isabella Gonzales, 19, an air defense crewmember, died during a missile and drone strike at the same base and was posthumously promoted. 1st Lt. Tyler Feehan of Hawaii succumbed to wounds from that attack the next day and will be posthumously promoted. Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, 30, died after a controlled detonation of a downed Iranian drone at Erbil Air Base in Iraq, and an investigation into his death is ongoing. These incidents expose vulnerabilities in base infrastructure still reliant on barriers not designed for advanced strikes. I don’t like anything military, because you must obey nonsense orders and the president keeps sending young Americans to an early grave. On one hand I pity them and their loved ones, but on the other they have also killed countless Iranians, including school children.
