Kwankwaso Defends Obi After Shettima’s ‘Bogus Statistics’ Remark

Rabiu Kwankwaso has defended Peter Obi after Vice President Kashim Shettima described Obi as a “master of bogus statistics and incoherent economic prescriptions.” Speaking on a television programme, Kwankwaso said he often listened to Obi and checked the figures he presented. According to him, most of the statistics were correct. He added that anyone could make mistakes or have a slip of the tongue, and said Obi’s familiarity with economic data was a positive quality.
