Wike Says Good Governance Must Also Put Food on the Table

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike says good governance should go beyond building roads and other infrastructure. Speaking to leaders and stakeholders in Evo Kingdom, Obio-Akpor LGA, Rivers State, he said citizens must also feel the impact in their welfare and ability to feed themselves. Wike made the remark while discussing former Obio-Akpor council chairman Solomon Eke, who he said later opposed him politically. Despite their differences, Wike said Eke should not be abandoned, stressing that public office belongs to the people rather than an individual officeholder.
