President Tinubu and First Lady Return to Lagos After UK State Visit
President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu arrived in Lagos at 1:15 a.m. on Friday. They concluded a two-day state visit to the United Kingdom. They were welcomed at the Presidential Wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport by Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, the President’s Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, Mrs Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and other APC leaders. Before heading back to Abuja, President Tinubu will spend Eid al-Fitr celebrations in Lagos. In London, he and the First Lady attended a state banquet at Windsor Castle hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla. At Downing Street, Tinubu held talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Both countries signed MoUs on port development and trade cooperation to strengthen economic ties.
