Rivers Group Meets ADC Governorship Hopeful Ahead of 2027 Citizens’ Dialogue

The Rivers Peace Initiative has met with ADC governorship aspirant Dr. Gabriel Pidomson as part of consultations for the Rivers We Want 2027 Governorship Dialogue. The meeting in Port Harcourt focused on the proposed dialogue’s objectives and plans to give residents an opportunity to question candidates on community priorities ahead of the election. Pidomson welcomed the initiative and said candidates should have an open, constructive platform to present their plans to Rivers residents. The dialogue, themed “Rivers 2027: The People’s Agenda,” is scheduled for October 23, 2026, in Port Harcourt.
