Anambra Police Arrest Driver for Bishop’s Murder and SUV Theft
Anambra State Police have arrested a domestic staff member suspected of murdering his employer, a bishop of the End-Reconciliation Ministry in Asaba, Delta State. The suspect is accused of conspiring with others to kill the cleric and flee with his Toyota Prado Jeep. Officers from the Rapid Response Squad in Awkuzu apprehended the driver and an alleged buyer in Nkpor, Idemili North LGA. The stolen Prado has been recovered and both suspects are in custody for further questioning. The Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, advised residents to thoroughly vet and verify the identities of domestic staff, drivers, and household employees. He urged vigilance and due diligence in recruitment to prevent similar tragedies.
