Celebrity Carpenter Gives Seven-Day Notice Over Alleged Defamatory Posts
Nigerian craftsman and entrepreneur Moses Amiebenomo, known as Celebrity Carpenter, has threatened legal action against bloggers, influencers and online platforms over publications he describes as false and defamatory. He asked those involved to remove posts, videos and commentaries relating to the allegations within seven days. He said the disputed narratives had been circulated and amplified without proper verification. Celebrity Carpenter said his restraint regarding allegations from the mother of his children was influenced by the children involved. However, he maintained that third parties who republish or endorse claims he considers false could face legal consequences. He added that labels such as “allegedly” or “reportedly” may not protect publishers if defamatory claims are found to be false.
