Eyewitness Says APC Supporters Attacked ADC Vehicles in Birnin Kebbi

I am an APC supporter, and I was troubled by what I witnessed today in Birnin Kebbi. Atiku Abubakar was scheduled to campaign at a nearby venue, where ADC supporters had gathered. Later, near Plus Center roundabout, I saw a crowd of APC supporters and Yan tauri attacking ADC vehicles. Some people were carrying cutlasses and other local weapons, and I saw shattered glass around the vehicles. The ADC buses appeared to turn back and speed away. The campaign venue is less than half a kilometre from the area, and the direct route passes through it. I am calling on security agencies to intervene, separate the groups and prevent further violence. Political differences must not lead to bloodshed. I condemn attacks on vehicles and threats to people, including when they are carried out by members of my own party.
