Tinubu Salutes Tunji Bello’s 65 Years of Dedication to Public Service

President Tinubu has congratulated Tunji Bello, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, on his 65th birthday. He hailed Bello as a dependable ally, accomplished public servant and steadfast advocate of progressive ideals. Tinubu reflected on their partnership during Nigeria’s pro-democracy struggle and democratic transition. He praised Bello’s courage as a journalist under military rule and his later roles in Lagos State government. The President recalled appointing Bello in 2003 to tackle waste management in Lagos. Bello’s swift reforms earned him continued trust as Environment Commissioner and Secretary to the State Government. Under the Renewed Hope Agenda, Bello was chosen to lead the consumer protection agency. Tinubu said Bello has made a strong impact in ensuring fair play in Nigeria’s marketplace. He concluded by wishing him many more years of good health and service.
