Troops Arrest Two Suspected Terrorist Informants at Askira Market in Borno

Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have arrested two men suspected of providing information to terrorists during a patrol at Askira Market in Askira/Uba LGA, Borno State. The arrests were made at about 3:10 p.m. in August 2026 after troops of the 115 Task Force Battalion acted on intelligence. The suspects, aged 40 and 39, are both from communities in Askira/Uba. They have been handed over to the 28 Task Force Brigade for further investigation. The operation is part of continuing efforts to disrupt terrorist intelligence and support networks across the North-East.
