Osun Police Resolve Accord, APC Clash Over Final Campaign Rally Dates

The Osun State Police Command has helped the Accord Party and the All Progressives Congress resolve a clash over the dates and venues of their final governorship campaign rallies. Following a meeting convened by Commissioner of Police Samuel Erale Etaifo, Accord will hold its rally on Wednesday, 12 August 2026, at Fakunle. The APC will hold its rally on Thursday, 13 August 2026, at Freedom Park. Police urged both parties and their supporters to avoid violence, intimidation, thuggery and other acts that could disrupt public peace. The command said offenders will be arrested and prosecuted during the election period.
