NSCDC Rescues Two 13-Year-Old Girls, Arrests Suspected Trafficker in Zamfara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has arrested a 25-year-old man over the alleged trafficking of two 13-year-old girls in Gusau, Zamfara State. Officials said the girls, both from Zurmi Local Government Area, were allegedly taken from Shinkafi and being transported to Suleja, Niger State. They were reportedly expected to meet two people identified as Hadiza and Bara'atu, also known as Yar Baba. The suspect was arrested in the Lalan area of Gusau. The NSCDC has transferred the case to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons for further investigation and possible prosecution.
