Court Adjourns Case of Five Former Alpha-Beta Employees Over Corruption Claims
A court has adjourned the case involving five former employees of Alpha-Beta Consulting Limited, including whistleblower Segun Oluwasanmi. The former staff members are accused of cyberbullying after making allegations of corruption and tax evasion against the firm. Oluwasanmi’s family says he and another employee, Etim Alfred, were held beyond 24 hours despite reportedly meeting bail conditions. They also allege that police threatened to torture Oluwasanmi to make him unlock his phone. The police officer handling the matter reportedly cited the need for further investigation. Oluwasanmi says he petitioned the police, ICPC and EFCC over alleged salary under-declaration, tax under-remittance, contract inflation and forgery within the company. Alpha-Beta has been linked in public reporting to President Bola Tinubu, but the allegations remain claims that require investigation and due process.
