67 Nigerians Return From South Africa After Xenophobic Attacks

A fresh batch of 67 Nigerians arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Wednesday night from South Africa. Their return was supported by private individuals, who also assisted an earlier group of 83 Nigerians. Each returnee received ₦50,000 to help with resettlement. Representatives of the group urged them to remain hopeful, obey Nigerian laws and rebuild their lives at home. They said the experiences in South Africa should not prevent the returnees, including their children, from pursuing a better future.
