Adeleke Orders Probe Into Koka Ilase Kingship Dispute Before European Vacation
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has directed the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to investigate a disputed kingship in Koka Ilase, Obokun Local Government Area. The governor acted after reports that another monarch had been appointed despite an existing king on the stool. He asked the ministry to review the circumstances and submit a report clarifying the legally recognised traditional ruler. Adeleke urged residents and all parties to remain calm while the investigation proceeds. He said the state would rely on established laws and Yoruba traditional customs to resolve the matter. The directive came as the governor began a short vacation in Europe, including medical checks in the United Kingdom.
