James and Chico DeBarge Arrested in California Over Suspected Drug Possession

Music brothers James and Chico DeBarge were arrested in Burbank, California, on August 27 after a traffic stop, during which police allegedly found suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine. Police reportedly stopped a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by James while it towed a Nissan SUV in which Chico was seated. The vehicles allegedly had no licence plates, and both men were reportedly not wearing seatbelts. Both brothers were arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance. Police also said Chico had an outstanding warrant, although his management said it was linked to a non-drug-related civil matter and denied that he was involved with drugs.
