Tenant Convicted for Hammer Murder of Landlady Who Warned of Danger
In Oregon, a Clackamas County jury found Bobby Lee Alsup guilty of murdering his landlady, Kaley Ann Snow, in March 2024. He was also convicted of arson, theft, corpse abuse and weapon charges. Weeks before the crime, Snow texted a friend: “I think this dude staying here might try to kill me.” Records show Alsup bludgeoned her with a hammer, hid her body in a shed and later set it on fire. In court, the defense claimed Alsup discovered Snow already dead and hid the body out of fear. Prosecutors pointed to his DNA at the scene and phone data that placed him at the home during the murder. Sentencing is scheduled for March 25. Alsup faces a minimum of life in prison with parole eligibility after 25 years.
