OGM Convener Urges Swift Justice After Tragic Ijebu-Jesa Shooting
The Omituntun Grassroots Movement convener condemned the armed attack in Ijebu-Jesa that left a child dead and several people wounded. He described the incident as cowardly and barbaric. He mourned the loss of young Timilehin and sent heartfelt condolences to the family. He also prayed for the quick recovery of all those injured, including a local resident known as “Ibadan.” He called on the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies to conduct a thorough, impartial investigation. He insisted that every individual responsible be identified, arrested, and prosecuted regardless of status. He appealed to residents to stay calm, cooperate with law enforcement, and avoid reprisals. He reaffirmed his commitment to peace and security in Ijebu-Jesa and neighbouring communities.
