Igbokwe Says South-East Should Back Tinubu Until 2031
APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe has said the South-East should support President Bola Tinubu for two terms, before the presidency shifts to the North in 2031. He also urged FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to consult APC governors over his proposed Rainbow Coalition, which is intended to mobilise cross-party support for Tinubu’s 2027 re-election. Igbokwe described Wike as an influential political stakeholder but questioned the timing and approach of the coalition. He said the disagreement with the Progressive Governors’ Forum should be resolved through dialogue rather than public exchanges.
