Wike Denies Role in Okorocha’s Court Victory, Questions Uzodimma’s Concerns

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has denied any involvement in the Federal High Court ruling that recognised Rochas Okorocha as the APC winner of the Imo West senatorial primary. The court ordered the party to submit Okorocha’s name to INEC and restrained Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma from presenting himself as the party’s candidate for the district. Speaking at a media parley in Port Harcourt on Thursday, Wike described claims linking him to the ruling as mischievous. He also denied involvement in the APC’s internal disputes, while questioning Uzodimma’s concerns about a coalition initiative aimed at securing President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
