Military Detains Suspected ISWAP Informant in Garaha, Adamawa

Troops from 232 Battalion under Operation HADIN KAI apprehended a civilian suspected of spying for Boko Haram/ISWAP in Garaha, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The arrest took place at about 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2026, after the individual was spotted loitering near B Company’s location. He is now in custody and will be transferred to battalion headquarters for detailed investigation. Security sources say preliminary checks are ongoing to determine any links to terrorist cells in the North-East. They also report that the general security situation in the area remains calm and that troop morale is high.
