IDF Reports Killing of Hamas Nukhba Commander Behind October 7 Infiltration

Israel’s Defense Forces say they eliminated Sakr Abu Karim, a senior commander in Hamas’ elite Nukhba unit, during a recent operation. The military claims Abu Karim helped plan the October 7 infiltration at Kisufim and led multiple attacks on Israeli troops throughout the conflict. They also allege he was rebuilding Hamas’ capabilities and storing a large weapons cache at his home. A communications specialist with Hamas was reportedly killed in the same strike. Hamas has not yet issued a response to Israel’s account.
