Bauchi Woman Arrested After Co-Wife Dies in Alleged Pestle Attack
Police in Bauchi have arrested a woman after her co-wife died following an alleged domestic dispute at Tafawa Balewa Housing Estate. The police said the suspect allegedly struck the 43-year-old woman on the forehead with a pestle on September 27. The victim was taken to the Specialist Hospital, Bauchi, where she was confirmed dead. The suspect has been arrested and the pestle was recovered as evidence. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and possible prosecution. Police also urged families to seek medical and psychosocial support for relatives showing signs of mental-health challenges.
