Halle Berry Denied Equal Physical Custody of Son as Restraining Order Is Lifted

A Los Angeles court has denied Halle Berry’s request to restore equal physical custody of her 13-year-old son, Maceo. Her former husband, Olivier Martinez, will retain primary physical custody under the temporary arrangement. The ruling also means Berry cannot have overnight visits with Maceo for now. However, the court dismissed Martinez’s request for a domestic-violence restraining order and lifted an earlier temporary order against the actress. Martinez had alleged that Berry assaulted their son during a September incident. Berry has denied the claims, calling them misleading and without merit. She will continue to share joint legal custody, allowing her to take part in major decisions about Maceo’s upbringing. The court is expected to review the temporary custody arrangement again in November.
