Police Arrest Four in Katsina Over 70 Railway Sleepers Hidden in J5 Vehicle

The Katsina State Police Command has arrested four men after officers allegedly found 70 railway sleepers concealed beneath 17 bags of animal feed in a white J5 vehicle. The suspects were intercepted during a stop-and-search operation around 12:30am on October 11 along the Kurfi–Tsanni Village Road. Police said the vehicle, the railway sleepers and the animal feed were recovered as exhibits. Preliminary investigations indicate that the materials were allegedly collected from a suspect in Bauchi State and were to be delivered to another person in Katsina. The four suspects remain in custody, while efforts continue to trace the source of the vandalised railway materials and arrest other suspects.
