Phenom Opens Up on Heartbreak, Risky Lifestyle and His Turn to Faith

Nigerian rapper Phenom says a painful heartbreak led him into a reckless period in which he had sexual relationships with about 200 women a year for two years. He said the lifestyle left him anxious about HIV and led to repeated gonorrhoea infections. According to him, the experience affected his peace of mind and made him reassess his choices. Phenom said he later embraced Christianity, remained celibate for about 10 years and married in 2026. He added that he and his wife waited until their wedding night before having sex.
