Two Suspected Terrorists Killed as Troops Recover Rifle in Plateau

Troops of Operation Enduring Peace say they killed two suspected terrorists and recovered an AK-47 rifle during an operation in Nwur village, Langtang North LGA of Plateau State. According to an operational report, the troops had taken an arrested bandit to the area to recover a rifle allegedly hidden there when they came under attack. The troops returned fire, killing two attackers. The arrested suspect was also killed during the encounter. No soldier was injured. Troops recovered an AK-47 rifle, a magazine and two rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, and said they were continuing operations against fleeing suspects.
