Kidnapped Woman Escapes Captors Along Plateau’s Kassa–Barkin Ladi Road
A woman abducted along the Kassa–Barkin Ladi highway in Plateau State has escaped from her captors and is receiving treatment for minor injuries. Gunmen reportedly blocked the road with stones on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, before intercepting vehicles and abducting the woman. She escaped in the early hours of Wednesday and found her way to safety. Troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE had earlier cleared the highway after finding an unregistered ash-coloured Sharon vehicle at the scene. Security personnel are investigating the escape and working to identify the suspected kidnappers operating along the route.
