Wike Calls APC Governors ‘Politically Lazy’ Over Opposition to Rivers Coalition
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has criticised APC governors who rejected his proposed “Rainbow Coalition” in Rivers State ahead of the 2027 general election. The coalition is intended to bring together APC and PDP members in Rivers State. APC governors said they would not support any arrangement that could weaken the party’s candidates in any state. Speaking in a television interview, Wike described the governors as politically lazy. He also questioned the political influence of Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, arguing that the state did not deliver President Bola Tinubu and the APC in the 2023 election.
