Traders Allege Threats After Overnight Shop Burglaries in Osogbo

Traders at Old Garage in Osogbo, Osun State, say several phone-accessories shops were burgled and vandalised overnight. Shop owners arrived on Tuesday morning to find broken display glass and shards scattered across their premises. The traders, mostly Igbo phone-accessories sellers, alleged that they had received threats from suspected area boys for two days before the incident. They believe the threats were linked to their attendance at public events involving Governor Ademola Adeleke and his wife. The traders said the situation has disrupted business, as customers are reportedly avoiding the area over fears of further attacks. The Osun State Police Command had not commented on the allegations at the time of the report.
