Gunmen Reportedly Kill Man on His Way to Church in Plateau
Daniel Simon Dachomo was reportedly shot dead by gunmen while on his way to church in the Fann community of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, Plateau State. The attack occurred at about 8 a.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2026, and reportedly caused panic among residents. Community members said the incident has renewed fears over persistent attacks in Barkin Ladi and nearby areas. The Berom Youth Moulders condemned the killing and called on the Plateau State Government and security agencies to increase patrols, identify those responsible and bring them to justice. Residents have also been urged to report suspicious activity promptly.
