Lagos Generates ₦1.17tn IGR in H1 2026, Surpassing 31 States Combined

Lagos recorded ₦1.17 trillion in internally generated revenue (IGR) in the first half of 2026. This is more than the combined ₦1.16 trillion generated by the other 31 states listed. Ogun ranked second with ₦140.57 billion, followed by Enugu with ₦95.62 billion. Kano recorded ₦60.14 billion, while Oyo and Kaduna generated ₦55.47 billion and ₦55.15 billion respectively. Kebbi recorded the lowest figure on the list at ₦6.55 billion. The figures are based on pro-rated H1 2026 performance for 32 states and exclude Delta, Edo, Osun and Rivers.
