APC Stakeholders in Anambra Rally Behind Emma Anosike, Reject Osegbo Faction
Sixteen of the 21 APC Local Government Chairmen, along with 22 State Executive Committee members and 28 aspirants across Anambra State, have distanced themselves from the factional meeting organised by Chief Ifeanyi Osegbo. They described the gathering as a “kangaroo grand entry” and reaffirmed their loyalty to Senator Emma Anosike and his leadership team. Sir Johnbosco Aniaracha, Acting Chairman of the Forum of APC Local Government Chairmen, criticised the rival faction for taking the party to court without first using internal conflict resolution channels. He called the parallel structure an orchestrated distraction aimed at undermining the party’s election preparations. The group urged party faithful to remain calm and law-abiding. They insisted that only the Anosike-led executive is the legitimate leadership of the APC in Anambra State and vowed not to be distracted ahead of the upcoming National Assembly, State House of Assembly, and local government elections.
