APC Chieftain Criticises Wike’s Remarks Against Party Governors

APC chieftain Aliyu Farouk says President Bola Tinubu and the ruling party are unlikely to welcome Nyesom Wike’s recent criticism of APC governors. Wike, the FCT minister, had described some APC governors as politically lazy while defending his Rainbow Coalition. He said the coalition would support Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 while allowing opposition parties to contest governorship and legislative seats. Farouk said the APC is building a unified national and state campaign structure, with governors expected to lead party activities in their states. He added that party members should avoid public exchanges with Wike over the disagreement.
