40 Cross River Youths Renounce Cultism After Police, Community Engagement
About 40 youths in Abini Community, Biase LGA of Cross River State, have reportedly renounced their links to the Vikings, Klans and Axemen cult groups. The commitment was made on 26 August 2026 during a sensitisation programme organised by the Cross River State Police Command with the Abini Elites Association and the LauraHope Foundation. Police said the exercise focused on the risks of cultism, drug abuse, illegal firearms and other criminal activities. The command said it would continue community engagement, intelligence gathering and preventive measures to curb crime and support peace in the state.
