Boko Haram Bombs Vital Bridge in Borgu, Niger State; Eight Dead
Eight people were killed on Monday when attackers detonated an improvised explosive device along Luma Road in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State. The blast destroyed the bridge connecting Luma, Babana and Agwara communities. That route is vital for residents travelling to the Monday Babana border market. Locals report that similar bombings occurred between Rafingiwa and Babana, and at Woro and Kaiama. Many villagers fled after the early-morning attacks. The Borgu council chairman confirmed the incident and said authorities have dispatched teams to assess the full extent of the damage.
