Ammo Shortage Forces Troops Out of Ngoshe and Pulka, Senator Ndume Warns
Senator Ali Ndume has sounded the alarm over critical ammunition shortages among Nigerian troops in Borno State. He revealed that soldiers were recently overwhelmed by sustained insurgent attacks and had to withdraw from Ngoshe and Pulka until reinforcements arrived. Ndume described both communities as reduced to rubble, with only a small mosque left standing. He urged the federal government to urgently supply the Army with more sophisticated weapons, ammunition, and logistical support to prevent further territorial losses in the North-East. Separately, coordinated bomb explosions in Maiduguri last Monday claimed at least 23 lives and injured over 100 people. Security agencies have since restored normalcy, increased patrols, and continue investigations into the attacks.
