Southern Kaduna Youths Seek Stronger Role in 2027 Politics Through CYMS Partnership
The Association of Ikulu National Youth has opened talks with the Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS) to expand youth participation in governance and community development ahead of the 2027 general elections. A delegation led by Vice Chairman Matthew Miyaki met with CYMS Director-General Obinna Nwaka on September 10. The association, which operates across 10 local government areas in Kaduna State, said it wants practical opportunities for young people to contribute to political and development programmes. Nwaka urged the youths to pursue peaceful and responsible political engagement. He warned against political violence and encouraged young people to demand accountability, support development and take part in the democratic process beyond voting.
