FG Explains Who May Qualify for N50,000 Relief and How to Check
The Federal Government says Nigerians may qualify for its N50,000 relief grant if they are registered with both the National Identity Management Commission and the National Social Register. The programme identifies households using verified records and poverty indicators, with those assessed among the poorest 60 per cent potentially included in the National Beneficiary Register. The government says selection is based on need and covers all six geopolitical zones. The grant does not have to be repaid. However, officials have not published the full criteria used to select individual beneficiaries.
