Nigeria at 66: Sanwo-Olu Urges Citizens to Embrace Patriotism and Responsibility
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has urged Nigerians to recommit to patriotism, resilience and responsible citizenship as the country marks its 66th Independence Anniversary. Speaking at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, he said the anniversary was a time to reflect on Nigeria’s journey, the sacrifices of its founding generation and the kind of country citizens want to leave for future generations. Sanwo-Olu said nation-building is a shared responsibility. He called on citizens to pay taxes, obey the law, protect public property, participate responsibly in democracy and support development in their communities.
