Twenty Years On: Remembering Sultan Muhammad Maccido’s Legacy

Twenty years after the tragic loss of my beloved father, His Eminence Sultan Muhammad Maccido, his memory remains deeply alive in our family and in the hearts of those he served. To us, he was a loving father whose wisdom, prayers and guidance still strengthen us. To the Sultanate and the nation, he was a humble traditional ruler and statesman who stood for peace, justice, unity and service to humanity. Although his life was cut short, his kindness, dignity and sense of duty continue to inspire us. We thank Almighty Allah for the gift of his life and pray that He forgives his shortcomings, accepts his good deeds, grants him Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and reunites us with him in Jannah. Ameen.
