FCT, Lagos and Ogun Lead Nigeria’s July 2026 Security Perception Ranking

A July 2026 security perception ranking places the FCT first with 52.1 points, followed by Lagos at 48.3 and Ogun at 46.5. Ekiti, Osun, Ondo and Oyo complete a strong South-West showing. Kwara ranks eighth, while Delta, Edo and Akwa Ibom represent the South-South. Enugu is the only South-East state in the top 12. The South-West accounts for six of the 12 listed locations. The North-Central has two, the South-South has three and the South-East has one. The ranking measures public perception of security, not necessarily recorded crime rates.
