DSS, Vigilantes Rescue Abducted Man in Imo; Two Suspects Killed
The Department of State Services, working with other security agencies and local vigilantes, has rescued a 29-year-old man who was allegedly abducted in Orlu, Imo State. The victim was reportedly seized near Afor-Ogidi Market in Isiala Amaifeke while returning from Umuna International Market. The gunmen, said to be riding on two motorcycles, allegedly demanded ₦15 million from his family. Security operatives rescued him during an intelligence-led operation in Ihioma, Orlu. Two suspected kidnappers were killed, while two high-calibre weapons and ammunition were reportedly recovered. The victim has since been reunited with his family.
