Kano Police Launch Youth Campaign Against Political Thuggery and Cyberbullying
The Kano State Police Command has launched a youth-focused campaign against political thuggery, cyberbullying, misinformation and online exploitation during activities marking the 2026 International Youth Day. The three-day programme included free medical outreach in Sharada Phase II, radio enlightenment programmes and a police-youth dialogue in Bompai. Residents received free consultations, medication, vital-sign checks and health education. At the dialogue, Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori urged young people to reject violence and manipulation. He called on them to embrace education, lawful enterprise, responsible social-media use and cooperation with security agencies. The campaign, titled “My Future Is Greater Than Political and Digital Thuggery,” brought together youth groups, students, civil society organisations, journalists, persons with disabilities and community policing stakeholders.
