Lagos Deputy Governor Locked Out During Visit to Osborne Foreshore Project
Lagos Deputy Governor Kadri Hamzat was reportedly denied entry to the Abba Court construction site at Osborne Foreshore Phase II, Ikoyi, during a visit over residents’ complaints. Residents alleged that Kenshad International carried out construction under high-tension lines, built over a canal and sand-filled parts of the area, actions they fear could worsen drainage and flooding. They also alleged harassment and intimidation linked to the dispute. Hamzat said the Lagos State Government would investigate the allegations. He stressed that physical planning and development control are matters for the state authorities.
