Newborn Found Alive in Airport Toilet Bin in Malaysia
A newborn boy was found alive in a sanitary bin inside a toilet for people with disabilities at Penang International Airport, Malaysia, on August 31. A cleaner reportedly heard the baby crying and alerted police. Airport staff rescued the infant and took him to Penang Hospital, where officials said he was in generally good condition. Police reviewed CCTV footage and arrested a 23-year-old woman and a 22-year-old Myanmar national who works as a security guard. Authorities are investigating possible child abandonment and are conducting forensic tests to establish whether the suspects are related to the baby. The case remains under investigation.
