Osun Police Warn Against Alleged Protest by Group Linked to Black Axe

The Osun State Police Command has warned against a planned protest allegedly organised by a group calling itself the Congress of Cultists, which police said is linked to the Neo-Black Movement, also known as Black Axe. Police said the alleged protest notice was uncovered through intelligence. The Command warned that it would act against any attempt to disrupt public peace, threaten residents or damage property. The police also said they had opened an investigation into a recent killing in the state. Some suspects are reportedly still at large, while investigators pursue leads and appeal to the public for confidential information. Residents were urged to remain calm, vigilant and law-abiding, and to report suspicious activity to security agencies.
