Shettima Returns After Representing Tinubu at AU Summit in Angola
Vice President Kashim Shettima has returned to Abuja after representing President Bola Tinubu at the African Union’s 21st Extraordinary Summit in Luanda, Angola. At the meeting, Nigeria called for stronger African-led approaches to conflict prevention and resolution. The country also urged action against xenophobic and Afrophobic attacks in South Africa. Nigeria backed the Luanda Action Plan and called for sustainable funding for Africa’s peace and security systems. The delegation also met members of the Nigerian community in Angola during the visit.
