Israeli Strikes Kill Four, Including Three Children, in Gaza Despite Ceasefire
Israeli gunfire and airstrikes killed at least four people, including three children, in Gaza on Tuesday, according to Palestinian health officials. The incidents occurred despite a US-backed ceasefire that halted large-scale fighting in October 2025. Witnesses said Israeli warplanes fired at least 12 missiles near the Katiba area of western Gaza City, where many displaced people are sheltering. Medics said two children and a woman were killed, while several others were injured and two vehicles were destroyed. In a separate incident east of Deir al-Balah, medics said a girl was killed and two people were wounded by Israeli fire. Israel said it struck targets to remove threats to its forces, while Hamas accused it of violating the ceasefire. Gaza health officials say more than 1,300 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire began. The Israeli military says four Israeli soldiers have been killed over the same period.
