Mexico Approves Reno Omokri as Nigeria’s Ambassador After Eight-Month Delay
Mexico has granted agrément for Reno Omokri to serve as Nigeria’s ambassador to the country, ending an eight-month delay in his deployment. Mexico’s chargé d’affaires in Abuja, José Manuel Briseño Flores, presented the formal approval to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on October 20. President Bola Tinubu had approved Omokri’s posting in March alongside other ambassador-designates and high commissioners. The posting could not proceed until Mexico gave its required diplomatic consent.
